We've reworked how ELLA helps you prioritize. The old effort-vs-impact grid is now an Opportunity × Effort grid — a clearer picture of where remediation work is actually worth it.
Four inputs drive it:
Contribution. The current force a business factor exerts on the multiple — direction and magnitude.
Target. Where you judge that factor should land after remediation, on the same scale as Contribution.
Opportunity. The gap between the two (Target − Contribution). This is the grid's X-axis — how much upside is on the table.
Effort. What it takes to close the gap. This is the Y-axis.
The result is a grid built around the decision you're actually making: where the biggest, most achievable gains are. Contribution and Target feed the grid as inputs, rather than competing as axes.
This serves not only as a “point in time” diagnostic, but also an input into Sensemaking conversations and an additional datapoint that can be included in the Deliverables you create.
Find it in the right-hand sidebar of any business factor in Fact Finding.
